Ok. So I’m a skeptic. A big skeptic. I’m also somebody who wants to do things all by myself and make my own way in the world. I’m not one to join a program or pay for a diet or anything like that. In the past, this has worked well for me. Lately, however, I’ve been having more trouble. My motivation is a huge issue and I’m feeling pretty alone in this whole fitness journey. My husband is supportive, but he’s already in pretty good shape right now and could run a half marathon tomorrow if he had to.
Me? Not so much. My willpower is at an all time low and I’m just feeling like maybe it’s time to enlist some support.
I’ve heard a lot about Beach Body and Shakeology and I know people who are doing it. I know it’s a business you can get into and sell the products and all of that, but honestly, I have noticed a change in the people I know who do it, so I’m thinking what the hell? Why not?
So….I find myself signing up for the shakes and I guess it comes with the coach support and the access to streaming workout videos and stuff. Maybe what I need is somebody holding me accountable. I love my husband, but when he says, “hey I’m on my way home from work, do you want me to pick something up?” and my answer is, “Taco Bell”…I need somebody to say no instead of “Nachos or cheesy gordita crunch?”
So, we’ll see how this goes. Honestly, I’ve got nothing to lose. Either it works or it doesn’t. Either I like it or I don’t. I figure either I’ll spend a little money, try it, and realize it’s not for me…or I’ll try it, love it, and get results.
